Businesses with grease traps must choose an authorised Wastesafe transporter to pump out and manage grease trap waste.
Wastesafe is the electronic tracking system that monitors the generation, collection, transport and disposal of grease trap waste. If you have a grease trap, you must use an authorised Wastesafe transporter to pump it out as often as we say.
Ask your Wastesafe transporter to enter your details online when you start using their service.
If you prefer, complete the Wastesafe transporter nomination form and email it to wastesafe@sydneywater.com.au.
Find out more about the responsibilities for your grease trap waste and other pre‑treatment.
We will charge a fixed quarterly liquid waste fee for each grease trap. If your pre-treatment is poorly maintained, we may apply a higher charge for the cost of treating that trade wastewater.

Disclaimer: The transporter you use is your choice, and we don't authorise or endorse any transporter or prefer any particular organisation. However, you can only choose an authorised Wastesafe transporter from the directory below. You need to do due diligence about the trading status of the waste transporter before engaging a particular company.
