Meet the Wonders of Water Van and Discovery Team

Our Wonders of Water Van and Discovery Team are excited to come to your next festival, market or gathering. Give your community the opportunity to explore water through interactive games and activities. We can help them understand how we make your water safe to drink, how cities around the world harvest their water resources, and how we recycle our water every day.

Our Discovery Team will share a range of interactive activities, educational quizzes and engaging interactive games. Jila the platypus would love you and your community to have the immersive Wonders of Water experience!

Think the Discovery Team could WoW your next community event? For more information, email us at education@sydneywater.com.au. Better yet, invite us to your next event!

Hi, I'm Jila, Sydney Water's very own platypus!

"My name means living water in the Walmajarri language. Water is my world, and I'm so glad you're here to explore it with us."

Free community display

Request a free community display at your next community gathering, university open day, sporting match, concert, shopping centre or anything in between. We can set up an engaging display about all things water – from where water comes from to how to conserve water in your home.

Community members can drop in anytime that suits them. We can customise our messaging to suit your event and audience.

Chat to one of our amazing Discovery Team members and learn something new about water.

Free community information sessions

Book a free community information session for your TAFE class, Probus group, or any community gathering.

Most people are surprised to learn that 85% of Greater Sydney's water comes from rainfall. With a growing population and climate change, it's time to think about water differently.

Your community can:

  • learn about the urban water cycle
  • discover water-saving tips and recycled water options
  • understand Sydney Water's future goals and how the community is affected.

Free Purified Recycled Water Discovery Centre tours

Learn more about purified recycled water and book a free 1-hour tour at our Purified Recycled Water Discovery Centre at Quakers Hill. We can host all sorts of small groups, including schools, universities and TAFE, and all types of community groups.

The Discovery Centre is the first of its kind in NSW. We're eager to give you and your community the opportunity to see how the exciting new technology to produce purified recycled water treatment works.

Learn about purified recycled water from the experts at our Quakers Hill Discovery Centre.
