Who we sponsor

How we're supporting your community

We’re proud to work with communities across Greater Sydney to support events and activities. Sponsorships and partnerships help us to educate people of all ages about water, wastewater and our responsibilities to the environment. Great opportunities open up all the time, and we welcome your suggestions.

Our partners

The Wiggles

For over three decades, The Wiggles, the world's most beloved children's entertainment group, has not only entertained and educated millions of preschoolers (and their parents) globally but also consistently infused important educational messages into their vibrant performances. Today, The Wiggles resonate deeply with generations; those who grew up enjoying their tunes now share this joy with their children. The Wiggles dominate preschool entertainment, with over 30 million albums and DVDs, eight million books sold worldwide, over two billion music streams, and three billion YouTube views. Their live shows sell out across three continents, and their videos reach audiences in over 190 countries.

In a significant move to advocate for environmental responsibility, The Wiggles have teamed up with Sydney Water to launch a vibrant awareness campaign focused on water conservation. This collaboration harnesses The Wiggles' global appeal and ability to connect with children and families through catchy tunes and colourful performances. Together, Sydney Water and The Wiggles are setting a precedent for how creative collaborations can effectively promote critical issues like water stewardship. Their joint efforts aim to instil lasting habits of responsible water usage, demonstrating the profound impact of combining entertainment with advocacy for a sustainable future.

We're working with Cricket NSW to encourage people of all ages to choose tap water over bottled water or sugary drinks.

Cricket NSW

As Hydration partner of the NSW Blues, NSW Breakers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder, we're highlighting Sydney’s drinking water.

We're working with Cricket NSW to educate and encourage people of all ages to choose tap water over bottled water or sugary drinks whenever possible. After all, water is a healthy choice that's already filtered. It's the most affordable and sustainable choice for Sydneysiders and sportspeople alike.

Keep an eye out for us at the cricket, and remember to BYO bottle and stay hydrated.

McGrath Foundation

Sydney Water is proud to have formed a partnership with the McGrath Foundation by funding a Breast Care Nurse for next three years through to 2025.

The McGrath Foundation raise money to fund McGrath Breast Care Nurses who provide invaluable support and care to women and men experiencing breast cancer. They have funded 185 nurses across Australia and has supported 110-thousand families since 2005.

WaterAid

WaterAid transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities. As Australia's largest water utility, we share WaterAid's vision that everyone, everywhere, should have access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Community and events

Community grants support projects coordinated by local groups.

Community grants

Sydney Water, through its annual Community Grants Program, supports local community groups across Greater Sydney, the Blue Mountains, and the Illawarra area, with community grants of up to $10,000. Visit community grants. for the latest information.

Portable water refill stations for community events

We're pleased to be able to lend our portable water refill stations to councils for community events.

We want to make affordable drinking water available for everyone, even when they're away from home. Our portable water refill stations also reduce the need to buy water in plastic bottles, protecting the environment.

If you're a council or community organisation interested in borrowing portable water refill stations, book here or click here to find out more.

Bring your own drink bottle and refill it at approved community events.

Donations and fundraising

We often lend a hand when disaster strikes.

Our fundraising and donations program helps staff give back to causes and charities close to their hearts.

Payroll donations

We're proud to support over 120 Australian charities that our staff are passionate about. We dollar-match staff payroll donations, and together we contributed over $250,000 last financial year.

Emergency and disaster relief appeals

There are times when we help with disaster relief or emergency situations. This may mean:

  • providing hands-on assistance
  • giving expert advice
  • supporting our staff to fund-raise.

Sponsorship and donation requests

Sponsorship

We work proactively with communities to identify sponsorship opportunities that deliver value for money and benefit our customers.

Community grants

Grassroots community and charity groups can apply for community grants.

Donations

Our donation program is based around dollar-matching the amounts of money our staff give to charity. We're proud to support over 120 charities each year that our people are passionate about.

Charities can register here for the Good2Give platform we use for our staff giving program or contact Good2Give for more information.

Merchandise

We only produce enough merchandise for specific events, because we're conscious of our environmental footprint. This means we're generally unable to provide items for show bags or giveaways.
