All our programs are free of charge

We invite school, university and TAFE students – and community groups – to come behind the scenes at our water filtration, wastewater treatment and water recycling plants in Greater Sydney. Our qualified teachers and industry professionals will show you the operations and technology used in our treatment processes.

Tours and excursions on hold

Due to COVID-19, we’re unable to schedule excursions right now. However, you can request an excursion from mid-2022. We’ll let you know when dates become available.

Requirements

Minimum group size is 10 people. If you have fewer than 10 or more than 120 students, please email us at education@sydneywater.com.au. so we can provide some suitable options for you. 

Excursions are run on operational, industrial sites from Tuesday to Thursday. 

To ensure the safety of visitors, all participants must:

  • be physically able to climb stairs

  • be able to walk at heights and on uneven surfaces

  • wear sturdy, fully enclosed shoes
