IPART's Issues Paper and the consultation period
On 1 November 2024, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) released its Issues Paper and Sydney Water's price proposal. This commenced the public consultation process.
IPART's Issues Paper sought feedback from the public on Sydney Water's price proposal until 9 December 2024. This was an important opportunity for our customers, stakeholders and the broader community to have their say on our price proposal.
IPART invited stakeholder input on the pricing proposal and encouraged community members to review the Issues Paper available on IPART's website.
IPART will consider all comments made through its website and in submissions. The online public hearings for the proposal on 21 November were an opportunity to provide feedback directly to the Tribunal.
Submissions were due by 9 December 2024. IPART's Issues Paper, the pricing proposal and public hearing registration are available on IPART's website.
IPART is considering all feedback from this consultation as well as its own detailed analysis, and will publish draft reports and draft pricing decisions to invite further consultation in March 2025.
The prices set in these reviews will apply from 1 July 2025.
