Evergreen upright branching perennial (1.5m x 0.9m) from South America. Elliptical leaves well spaced becoming progressively smaller up the stem. Long racemes of sky blue flowers in summer. Useful for a wet bog area or in the perennial garden. Tolerates poorly drained soil. Frost tolerant. Drought sensitive.
