Evergreen upright rounded shrub (4m x 3m) from Qld; NSW (including Sydney) and Vic. Stiff tough heavily veined leaves. Globular clusters of creamy white flowers in the leaf axils in spring followed by woody seed pods. Pink flowering form available. Useful for a quick growing screen. Bird attracting. Tolerant of poor soils. Frost and drought tolerant.
