Five-Year Drinking Water Quality Management Plan

Sydney Water is preparing its Five-Year Drinking Water Quality Management Plan 2010-2015.

This Plan provides a framework to ensure the continued supply of safe drinking water in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains.

Sydney Water invites public comment on the management of drinking water in Sydney, Illawarra and the Blue Mountains to assist in the development of the plan.

A discussion paper (PDF - 2.72MB) has been prepared that outlines initiatives undertaken in the past five years to improve drinking water quality management and sets out the key focus areas and strategies for 2010-2015.

The Five-Year Drinking Water Quality Management Plan for 2005-2010 (PDF - 2.93MB) has resulted in significant improvements to drinking water quality.
