Water efficiency

Sydney Water's water efficiency program started 11 years ago. We are now using about the same amount of water as in the early 1970s. This is despite an increase in population of over 1.3 million.

Pay your bill online Water Wise Rules are simple, common sense actions that apply to all Sydney Water customers in Sydney, the Illawarra and the Blue Mountains. All hoses must now have a trigger nozzle. Hand held hoses, sprinklers and watering systems may be used only before 10 am and after 4 pm on any day - to avoid the heat of the day.
