Smart Metering
Smart Home, Newington
Sydney Water recently completed a Smart Metering project in the suburb of Westleigh. Results will be used to assess the feasibility of smart meters.
Another project is underway with Ausgrid as part of the Smart Grid Smart City Project. This trial will combine water and energy smart metering at Newington, Ku-ring-gai and the Sydney CBD. Another part of the Smart Grid Smart City project is the Smart Home at Newington. A family is currently living in the home that showcases all the leading technologies in water and energy efficiency. You can follow the family’s experience online.
