Across Sydney, the water we use outside our homes each day would fill 250 Olympic swimming pools! This is equivalent to 25 per cent of Sydney's total household water consumption.

So the garden is a great place to start when looking at ways to save water and reduce our water bills.

Pay your bill online Water Wise Rules are simple, common sense actions that apply to all Sydney Water customers in Sydney, the Illawarra and the Blue Mountains. All hoses must now have a trigger nozzle. Hand held hoses, sprinklers and watering systems may be used only before 10 am and after 4 pm on any day - to avoid the heat of the day.
