Recycled water residential pricing

The Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) sets recycled water prices for the Rouse Hill scheme. IPART has determined new prices from 2008-09 to 2011-12.

From 1 July 2008 to 30 June 2012, the price of recycled water is calculated at 80% of the drinking water charge. Recycled water is treated to a high standard and is a valuable resource.

Your recycled water charges will be listed separately on your Sydney Water bill. There is a recycled water usage charge (PDF - 33KB) and at the Rouse Hill Development Area there is also a recycled water service charge (PDF - 50KB) .

Are there additional costs?

Plumbing a house for recycled water and drinking water is more expensive than for a normal house. You should discuss this with your builder during construction.
