Water Restrictions - Business Exemption Application Form
If you wish to make an exemption application, please complete the form below and include sufficient information about why you should be granted an exemption.
Once your application has been successfully submitted, you will receive an online application reference number. Your application is subject to assessment and approval by Sydney Water and you will receive confirmation of the outcome of your application in writing.
If you do not receive an online application reference number, your submission has not been successful. You may need to resubmit your application.
The exemption may be granted if:
- your activities require water for health and hygiene
- your activities require water for safety
- there is no feasible waterless alternative
- you will experience significant financial impact.

Sydney Water has voluntarily committed to complying with the NSW Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (the Act). This commitment ensures your privacy when dealing with Sydney Water. Any personal information gathered, held and used by Sydney Water will be managed in accordance with the requirements of the Act.
