WaterFix

Large Household WaterFix

From 1 January 2006 Sydney Water is offering large households (households comprising of 6 or more occupants) with relatively low incomes, the opportunity to save water, money and help protect the environment by providing a FREE water saving service. The Large Household WaterFix service includes the installation of water saving devices such as water efficient showerheads and flow regulators.

A Love Your Garden booklet and Water Efficient Gardening fact sheet for your local area will also be posted as part of the package.

The offer is available to households of 6 or more occupants and must:

  1. Be the owner or joint owner of a residential property

OR

Be a tenant of a residential property and have your landlord’s permission to have the service completed

AND

  1. Be the holder of a Health Care Card as issued by CentreLink

OR

Receive Family Tax Benefit Part A (FBTA). A financial statement will be required from CentreLink in support of your FBTA category. This statement needs to be shown to the plumber.

If you do not meet the Large Household criteria you can still participate in WaterFix from a basic rate of $22.00.

How to take up the Large Household or basic WaterFix offer

To take up this offer simply fill in the online form or register by phoning 1800 995 886 between 8.00am and 8.00pm Monday to Friday or 8.00am to 2.00pm Saturday.

NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Scheme

As part of receiving this offer, you must nominate Sydney Water to register NSW Greenhouse Gas Abatement Certificates (NGACs) for all emissions saved by your participation in the program.
