Evergreen bushy shrub (2m x 2m) from the Indian mountains. Dark green oval leaves on woody and branching stems. Clustered funnel shaped single or double flowers in variable shades of white; pink and red. Useful for mass planting; as an understorey or feature plant. Prefers filtered sunlight and an acid soil. Mulch to protect surface roots. Very sensitive to salinity. Susceptible to lace-fly leaf damage and Petal Blight fungus. Drought sensitive. Tolerant of mild to moderate frosts.
