Osteospermum ecklonis - botanical name

Evergreen spreading to clumping bush (0.4m x 1m) from South Africa. Grey-green leaves. Mostly white flowers with navy blue centres. Many colour varieties available including pink; yellow and purple. Useful as a groundcover on poor soils and for colour in a perennial garden. Spreads by self-seeding and rooting where nodes touch the ground. Tolerant to salinity. Potential to invade bushland. Frost and drought tolerant.
