Evergreen erect shrub (2m x 1.5m) from NSW (including Sydney on Hawkesbury Sandstone); Vic; SA and Tas. Crowded stiff pointed leaves. Terminal heads of mauve sometimes cream flowers at the tips of branches in spring. Useful screen or background plant particularly for a damp position. Tolerates poorly drained soil. Frost and drought tolerant.
