  • The rollout of Sydney Water’s Partnering for Success (P4S) program is entering an exciting new phase – Shared Purchasing.
    
    Shared Purchasing simplifies how we and our asset delivery partners will procure certain defined goods and services that can’t be self-performed by the partners.
    
    By pooling our purchasing in this manner, we’ll achieve economies of scale, increase our buying power and develop deeper relationships with preferred suppliers.
    
    Sydney Water is looking to engage for a single supplier for the provision of recovered materials logistics services to Sydney Water and its three regional delivery consortia. Logistics services are required for the collection of material generated from Sydney Water’s treatment plants and network from maintenance, remediation and construction activities and transport to a Sydney Water nominated processing facility based on the classification of the material for recovery for beneficial use or landfill disposal is recovery is not viable. A bin change over service is generally required.
    
     Regular services are required for the collection of grit and screenings from 28 treatment plants and civil recovered material from 14 network maintenance depots. Project and adhoc services are required for maintenance, remediation and construction projects.
    
      Historical yearly regular requirements have been around:
    
     
    
    •2,300 bin movements for the collection and transport of ~ 8,000 tonnes of grit and screenings generally using Sydney Water owned bins; and
    
    •3,500 bin movements for the collection and transport of ~ 30,500 tonnes of civil recovered material using the suppliers bins.

    Once the registration period is over the tender will be published and you will then be able to download the Tender Documents in Ariba.
    
    Please also consider these requirements before expressing interest:
    
    • The supplier has a fleet to service all Sydney Water’s regular requirements including sufficient bins (as specified above in the description) and additional project and adhoc requirements.
    
    • WHS Management System accreditation to a minimum of AS4801 or like.
    
    • All our sourcing activities are conducted using the Ariba system. Provided responses to the above questions are deemed satisfactory by the contact, you will need to complete an Ariba registration process.
