    Background Summary

    Scope Overview:

The purpose of the Civil Plumbing Services Contract is to provide cost effective and reliable plumbing services including:

    a) Repair / maintenance of the main to meter service and the associated fittings; and

    b) other minor services including the provision of sewer surcharge inspections and attending pressure inquiries.

Successful contractors will be required to provide all necessary labour, material, plant and equipment, including safety equipment necessary to perform the services under the contract.

    Delivery of Services:

Sydney Water’s area of operations is divided into nine regions, which consist of groups of Local Government Areas. The successful contractor(s) will be allocated one or more regions. However, it is a requirement that tenderers provide pricing for all 9 regions in their RFT response.

    Safety Requirements

Only tenderers that have accreditation to the NSW Government’s WHS Management System and Auditing Guidelines 5th Edition or those with the ability to achieve accreditation prior to the award date will be considered for these services.

Contract Value / Term Based on current work volumes, Sydney Water expects the total value of the Services to be between $6m to $8m a year. A 4 to 6 year term is being considered, commencing early 2017.

However, there are no guarantees that this spend will be achieved. Any contracts awarded as a result of this RFT will be non-exclusive and will not be subject to a minimum spend or volume.

Industry Briefing A non-mandatory industry briefing session will be held at Sydney Water on 15 June 2016 at 3pm.
