Rebates

We compensate customers who experience:

  • interruptions to their water or wastewater supply
  • wastewater overflows
  • low water pressure
  • poor water quality.

From 1 July 2010, we give a rebate to customers affected by:

  • a water service interruption of more than five hours
  • three or more unplanned water interruptions in 12 months - each for over one hour
  • water pressure of less than 15 metres head of pressure for 15 minutes or more (excludes loss of pressure due to a water service interruption)
  • dirty water (where Sydney Water is at fault)
  • a wastewater (sewage) overflow on your property (where Sydney Water is at fault)
  • more than one wastewater disruption or overflow in a year
  • any 'boil water' alerts issued by NSW Health.
