- In June 2016, the Independent Pricing and Regulatory Tribunal (IPART) published its final determination on the prices we can charge from 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2020. IPART accepted our proposal to lower bills, which means that as of 1 July 2016, customers are saving about $100 a year on their water bills.
- IPART rated our drinking water quality as ‘fully compliant’ in the 2015 Operating Licence Audit. We continue to perform strongly against our Operating Licence requirements.
- Customer trust has been moving up steadily, and hit a peak rating of 7.1 out of 10 in February 2016. Our corporate reputation score also peaked at 6.7 in September 2015.
- Our profit after tax was $548 million, $86 million above the Statement of Corporate Intent (SCI) target of $462 million. This was due to higher water use income, additional non-regulated income, lower asset charges, and lower borrowing costs due to lower interest rates.
