Local community support

Our grants help schools, community events and local organisations who work hard to make their neighbourhoods great!

These are our 2017 recipients.
 

Addison Road Centre for the Arts, Marrickville

We've supported the Addison Road Centre because they provide vital food pantry services, educational programs and multicultural activities to the local community.
 

City of Wollongong Brass Band, Wollongong

We've supported the junior music camp because they provide opportunities to children from multicultural and low socio-economic backgrounds.
 

Lebanese Film Festival, Bankstown

We've supported the Lebanese Film Festival because it brings people together from across the greater Sydney area to experience and celebrate Lebanese arts and culture.
 

Marrickville Heritage Society, Marrickville

We’ve supported the Marrickville Heritage Society so they can expand their website to give everyone the opportunity to learn about the area’s history.

AASHA Foundation, Pennant Hills

We've helped the AASHA foundation support and connect people from diverse backgrounds. Our support will go towards building communication capacity to breakdown cultural and linguistic barriers.
 

Aboriginal & Family State Care Secretariat (AbSec), Marrickville 

We've shared our commitment to diversity and inclusion by supporting the AbSec’s youth ambassador program. They provide a platform for young aboriginals to stand up and talk about issues that are important to them.
 

Bannockburn Rovers Football Club, Pymble

We’ve funded referee training so the club can continue to serve the wider community. This club was established in 1962 and has been supporting grassroots football for many years. 
 

Boronia Multicultural Services, Toongabbie

We’ve helped Boronia Multicultural Services create a green space to connect culturally and linguistically diverse communities.
 

Connect Marrickville, Marrickville

We've helped Connect Marrickville so they can create a new cooking area to facilitate bonding between migrant families and reduce isolation. Connect Marrickville is popular among many community groups.
 

Helensburgh Lions Club, Helensburgh

We’re proud to support the Helensburgh County Fair by providing water refill stations and help with fundraising. This fair is one of the biggest events of the year.  
 

Illawarra Blue Stars Athletic Club, Kanahooka

We’ve funded a new gazebo for the Blue Stars Athletic Club. They've been promoting athletics as an enjoyable, healthy sport for all and this will keep them safe from the hot summer sun.
 

Mountains Outreach Community Service, Blue Mountains

We've supported the Mountains Outreach Community Service because they connect Blue Mountains families with the aboriginal culture. They do this through guided bush tucker and cultural walks.
 

North Rocks Carlingford Little Athletics Centre, Carlingford

We’re funded equipment to help NRCLAC support community involvement in sport and fitness.
 

North Rocks Junior Rugby Union

Rugby union is thirsty work, that’s why we’ve supplied the club with refillable water bottles.
 

PCYC Auburn, Auburn

We’ve provided new sporting equipment to enable PCYC Auburn to run fun and affordable school holiday programs for local youth.

Airds High School, Airds

We’re proud to supply refillable water bottles to support Airds High School. They're taking an active approach to tackle plastic waste and promote healthy drinking behaviours. 
 

Auburn Youth Centre, Lidcombe

We’ve backed the Auburn Youth Centre so they can create a new education space. They provide a place where all young people belong so this help will give young students the opportunity to link with volunteer tutors.  
 

Balmain Public School, Balmain

We’ve supported Balmain Public’s biggest fundraiser, the Balmain Fun Run. The fund’s raised go towards playground improvements, books, computers, music and drama activities.
 

Belrose Public School, Belrose

The ‘Spring Fling Fair’ is Belrose Public’s way of bringing the community together and showcasing their awesome teachers and talented students. We’ll be there to keep everyone hydrated.
 

Beverley Hills North Public School, Beverley Hills

We've supported this school so they can transform neglected areas of the playground into sustainable, native gardens. The students identified the opportunity to do this great work. 
 

Bexley North Public School, Bexley North

We’ve funded some new equipment to help with the school’s community garden.
 

Dharma Karta, Blackett

We've supported Dharma Karta so they can empower students to become change-makers and positively influence the culture of their school.
 

Galston High School, Galston

Students have recognised an opportunity to cut down on their plastic waste by installing water refill stations around their school. We’re thrilled to help fund this great sustainable initiative.
 

Glenfield Public School, Glenfield

Glenfield Public School are giving all their students an equal opportunity to learn from the latest technologies. That’s why we’ve funded some additional hardware for their classrooms.
 

Glossodia Public School, Glossodia

We’ve funded a new garden bed and some extra equipment to keep their Garden Club thriving.
 

Keiraville Community Preschool, Keiraville

We've supported Keiraville Community Preschool because they share our commitment to sustainability. They promote sustainable food choices by creating a fruit and vegetable garden for local families.
 

Kiama Preschool, Kiama

We’ve backed their new community garden which will benefit children and their families.
 

Lapstone Preschool Kindergarten Association, Lapstone

We've helped Lapstone Preschool with their new program to educate preschool children about sustainability, gardening and earth and water care.
 

Llandilo Public School, Llandilo

We’ve helped Llandilo Public school create a multicultural garden to celebrate the school’s diverse backgrounds and encourage sustainable food choices.
 

Lynwood Park Public School, Lynwood Park

Lynwood Public School are bringing the community together for an open-air cinema night. We’ll be there to support fundraising efforts to create educational opportunities for students.
 

Marrickville Public School, Marrickville

We’ve funded a herb garden for the school’s new kitchen garden. The students will benefit from further learning opportunities and the chance to grow their own food.
 

Narrabeen Lakes Public School, Narrabeen

We’ve helped Narrabeen Lakes Public School upgrade their water refill station to keep students hydrated and cut down on plastic waste.
 

Newington Public School, Newington

Newington Public School are having a sport-a-thon to promote healthy lifestyles and raise funds for school initiatives. We’ll be there to keep everyone hydrated.
 

Peakhurst Public School, Peakhurst

We've helped Peakhurst Public School so they can develop a safe outdoor space. This supports the learning and sensory needs of their students with intellectual disabilities.
 

Petersham Public School, Petersham

To improve student safety, we’ve supported the refurbishment of Petersham Public School’s toilet facilities.
 

Revesby South Public School, Revesby

We’ve supported Revesby South Public School’s project to install an irrigation system for their vegetable garden and chicken coop.
 

Russell Vale Public School, Russell Vale

Russell Vale Public School’s ‘Green Team’, take a hands-on approach to learning about agriculture and sustainability. We’re helping them to install a chicken coop and storage shed.
 

South Coogee Public School, South Coogee

We’re supplying water refill stations to keep the community hydrated at their School Fiesta.
 

Surfrider Foundations, Cronulla

We're helping the Surfrider Foundation because they share our passion to keep Sydney’s beaches and waterways clean. Their upcoming beach clean-up and movie night will educate the community about how to reduce rubbish in our oceans.
 

Tahmoor Public School, Tahmoor

We’ve helped students at Tahmoor Public School create a new green space to promote healthy eating and locally grown foods.
 

The Point Preschool, Oyster Bay

We’re working with The Point Preschool to set up an irrigation system for their garden and chicken coop.
 

Winmalee Community Preschool, Winmalee

We’ve funded new soil, mulch, seedlings and irrigation for Winmalee Community Preschool’s outdoor classroom.
 

Yeo Park Infants School, Ashfield

We’ve helped Yeo Park Infants School develop a creative reading space for students with sensory processing disorders.

Al Minia Association, Auburn

We've supported the Association so they can educate the CALD community about health issues with an aim to prevent deadly diseases.
 

Australian Mitochondrial Disease Foundation, Sydney

‘The Bloody Long Walk’, a 35-kilometre walking challenge, raises vital funds towards research of mitochondrial disease. We’ll be there to keep everyone hydrated along the way.
 

Bankstown Community Resource Group, Bankstown

We’ve supported their National Child Protection Day event to increase awareness and fundraising.
 

Civic Disability Services, Caringbah

We’ve supported the ‘Mowing Crew’, which provides employment for people with intellectual disabilities and mental health conditions.
 

Medius Dei, Sydney

We've helped Medius Dei so they can collect bread from local bakeries and distribute it to the hungry and disadvantaged.
 

Mama Lana’s Community Foundation, Penrith

We’re proudly funded a range of personal care items for the Mama Lana’s Community Foundation. They provide essential services for the homeless and disadvantaged in the Penrith area.
  

Parramatta Mission, Parramatta

We've helped Parramatta Mission transform the lives of the vulnerable and disadvantaged through a meals program.
 

Platform Youth Services, Penrith

We’ve supported Platform Youth Service’s mobile outreach program. This program ensures young people can access the support services they need to participate in community life in a positive way.
 

The Sanctuary Hills Women’s Shelter, Castle Hill

We've helped The Sanctuary Hills Women’s Shelter provide crisis accommodation for women and children.
