Who we sponsor

We're a part of the greater Sydney community and have been for over 125 years.

Sponsorships, and our support of events, help us engage with our communities. We love educating people of all ages on water - our most precious resource.

Orange van with washing machines inside

Meet Busby, our new hybrid washing and shower van with Orange Sky Australia

Australian Museum and Streamwatch

Streamwatch is a leading water quality and monitoring citizen science program. It helps local communities investigate and take action on:

  • water quality
  • catchment and ecosystem health.

Cricket NSW

As Hydration partner of the NSW Blues, Lendlease Breakers, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder, we're highlighting Sydney’s drinking water.

We're working with Cricket NSW to educate and encourage people of all ages to choose tap water over bottled water or sugary drinks whenever possible. After all, water is a healthy choice that's already filtered. It's the most affordable and sustainable choice for Sydneysiders and sportspeople alike.

Keep an eye out for us at the cricket and remember to BYO bottle and stay hydrated!

Sculpture by the Sea

For over 20 years, we've quenched the thirst of the hundreds of thousands of people who visit  Sculpture by the Sea each year. We aim to help make their experience a healthy and sustainable one.

We look forward to seeing you in October 2018.

Orange Sky Australia

Orange Sky Australia is the world’s first free mobile laundry service for people experiencing homelessness.

We’ve funded the purchase and fit-out a bespoke hybrid shower and laundry van to help Western Sydney communities.

As the first van of its kind in NSW, and only the third in Australia, the van will play an essential role in providing access to basic hygiene. This will help restore dignity to those who are easily forgotten.

Many of our staff members are actively volunteering to help support the amazing work of Orange Sky. We encourage you to get involved and volunteer with Orange Sky Australia.

WaterAid

WaterAid transforms lives by improving access to safe water, hygiene and sanitation in the world's poorest communities.

As Australia's largest water utility, we share WaterAid's vision that everyone, everywhere should have access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene.

Each year our staff participate in the Winnovators Challenge which pits them against teams from across the globe. They use their skills and experience to find real life solutions for sanitation and hygiene issues not faced here at home.

Community grants

We're supporting grassroots community organisations and projects that are working to make neighbourhoods in the Sydney, Blue Mountains and Illawarra areas great!

Our Local Community Support grants offer a helping hand to organisations that support local activities and services in one of the following categories:

  • Arts and Heritage
  • Safety
  • Health and Wellbeing
  • Education.

Our Beat the Bottle environment grants are looking to support grass roots community clean up groups that are either already established or in the process of establishing new groups in growth areas.

Applications for 2018 grants open on Monday 25 June, 2018.

Events

We support a number of community events and sporting activities so people have easy access to our great quality drinking water. Come and see us at:

These events also help us educate people about drinking water and the urban water cycle.

Portable water refill stations for local councils

We're pleased to be able to loan councils our portable water refill stations for community events.

If you're a council and interested in borrowing these, please email partnerships@sydneywater.com.au. Conditions apply.

Our fundraising and donations program helps staff give back to causes and charities close to their hearts.

Payroll donations

We're proud to support over 100 Australian charities that our staff are personally passionate about.
We dollar match staff payroll donations.

Emergency and disaster relief appeals

There are times when we help with disaster relief or emergency situations. This may mean:

  • providing hands on assistance
  • giving expert advice
  • supporting our staff to fundraise.

Sponsorship, donation and merchandise requests

We're not currently looking for new sponsorship opportunities and don't accept unsolicited requests for donations.

We don’t produce a lot of merchandise because we:

  • care about sustainability
  • are careful about how we spend money and use resources.

We don’t supply bottles or items for show bags or giveaways.
