Kevin is the Managing Director of Sydney Water. He was previously the Managing Director of Hunter Water.

Kevin has over 35 years experience working for the private sector and Government authorities in Australia and overseas.

He was previously Chairman of the Water Services Association of Australia (WSAA) whose members serve over 17 million Australians with water and wastewater services every day.

Kevin is currently the Chair of the WSAA Utility Excellence Committee and is a Director of WaterAid.

Kevin has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) (Hons 1) from the University of Newcastle and a Master of Business Administration. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Engineers Australia and a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

 


James Mitchell, General Manager Finance and Corporate ServicesJames Mitchell - Finance Services

James (Jim) is the Chief Financial Officer. Before joining Sydney Water, Jim was Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Synergy, Western Australia's largest energy retailer. Synergy supplied electricity and gas to over one million customers and was responsible for developing a number of WA power generation projects, both thermal and renewable. Jim was Chief Financial Officer of Ergon Energy, Queensland's regional electricity supplier. Ergon Energy distributed and retailed electricity to over 97% of the state. He was also Chief Financial Officer of Epic Energy, a gas transmission business across three states.

Jim has held senior financial roles in a number of companies, including Treasurer of MIM, Australian Industry Development Corp and Thiess.

Jim has a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, is a Fellow of Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) Australia and is a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors

Paul was appointed acting General Manager, Liveable City Solutions in July 2016.   Prior to this, he was Manager, Product & Service Strategy responsible for translating customer needs into strategies for water infrastructure for our growing city, which he held since November 2015. Before joining Sydney Water in 2010, Paul worked in the UK water sector and was the Head of Environment & Asset Services at United Utilities Operational Services.

Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in regulated and non-regulated businesses across the whole asset value chain including: strategy and planning, asset acquisition, operations management, and maintenance delivery.

As acting General Manager, Liveable City Solutions, Paul has end to end accountability for planning and enabling the delivery of products and services to Sydney Water’s customers.

Paul has a Bachelor of Science (Hons) in Marine Biology from Liverpool University, a Master of Science in Environmental Analysis and Health from the University of Wales and a Diploma in Business Administration from Manchester Business School.

Paul is the relieving General Manager, Customer Delivery. Paul's substantive role is General Manager, Liveable City Solutions. 

Before joining Sydney Water, Paul held the position of General Manager Program and Portfolio Management at Northern Territory's Power and Water Corporation.

From 2011 to 2013, he held several senior management and major project roles with Melbourne Water.

Paul has more than 18 years' experience in the water industry with particular focus on the development and delivery of investment programs. He has successfully led large, complex infrastructure projects that have involved significant interaction with the community and stakeholders.

Paul has a Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) from Victoria University of Technology, a Master of Business Administration from AGSM and has completed executive education at INSEAD (France) with a focus on strategic partnering.


Angela Tsoukatos, General Manager People, Leadership and CultureAngela Tsoukatos - People and Corporate Services

Angela is the General Manager People and Corporate Services. Angela has worked in the community sector, local government and for Sydney Water for 26 years. Her experience traverses strategy, policy development, service delivery, stakeholder relations, corporate governance and driving business change in an inclusive and collaborative manner.

Angela has been a member of the Sydney Water Executive since 1999 and held the positions of General Manager, Corporate Affairs and Company Secretary and General Manager, Customer Services.
Angela is passionate about aligning people to strategy, and creating a culture where people can do great work.
Angela has a Bachelor of Social Work, UNSW, a Master of Management (Public Sector), UTS, is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, and has recently completed Level 1 and 2 Executive Coaching, Institute of Executive Coaching, Sydney. She is also an accredited Human Synergistics practitioner (LSI 1 and 2 and GSI).

Sian Leydon is General Manager, Customer, Strategy and Regulation.
Sian has led diverse teams of talented professionals in strategic business transformation, finance, management consulting, corporate environments and engineering. She has a passion for strong leadership and talent development. Sian's focus is to find creative and innovative ways to boost the business and generate a more sustainable, agile and responsive organisation.

Sian started her career as an Aeronautical Engineer in Ireland before moving to Australia in 2002 and joining Qantas. From there she broadened her base as a management consultant with KPMG by working across a variety of industries. She returned to Qantas in 2012 when she was offered the role as Head of Transformation. 

In 2014, Sian took on a further challenge and became the Head of Finance at Hilti Australia.

Sian has a Bachelor of Aeronautical Engineering (Honours) (Queen’s University of Belfast, Northern Ireland), a Master of Aerospace Engineering (UNSW), a Master of Business Administration (AGSM) and a Diploma of Project Management (University of New England). She is also a qualified Program Manager (MSP) and a graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
 

George Hunt, Chief Information Officer, Information TechnologyGeorge Hunt - Digital Services

George is the Chief Information Officer (CIO). George is a recognised technology leader within the global utility sector. He has a successful track record in implementing technology infrastructure to support increasing customer expectations, challenging regulatory outcomes and corporate business goals.

Before joining Sydney Water, George held roles as a Global Consulting Partner at Wipro Digital in the United Kingdom and Chief Information Officer for Wessex Water. George also held a Senior IT leadership role (CTO) within RWE's Energy and Water Division, where he took a lead role in the delivery of UK and US based business transformation programs for both Thames Water and American Water.

George has over 20 years of global utilities experience combined with a deep technical knowledge, strong commercial, business and regulatory understanding. George also has extensive experience in: successful ERP and SAP implementations, technology innovation to provide IT service and support, digital customer experience.George has a keen eye for engineering and technology. He is a time-served engineer having completed a four year technical apprenticeship in a major engineering company.

George has a Bachelor of Engineering from Birmingham University, UK and a Master of Information Systems from Kingston University, London, UK
