How we manage our property

We have a diverse property portfolio that includes:

  • office accommodation
  • depots
  • laboratories
  • treatment plants
  • reservoirs
  • pumping stations
  • vacant land.

If you want to use, access or buy one of our properties, you will need to give us detailed information. This will help us decide if it's acceptable or possible.

We don't allow public access to most of our properties. This is so we can protect our assets and the water we supply to you.

We may issue fines for unauthorised access or breaches to entry conditions of our sites.

Prospect Reservoir

We supply drinking water stored in Prospect Reservoir to most of our customers in the Sydney area. Prospect Reservoir is a controlled site, which has conditions of entry, although picnic areas are open for the community to use and enjoy.

Picnic areas

Andrew Campbell Reserve and Walder Park are located within the grounds of Prospect Reservoir on William Lawson Drive.

Both picnic areas are open daily and have amenities and playground equipment. You can't light fires and there are no barbecue facilities available.

Gates open automatically each day at 7 am (6 am daylight saving time) and close at 4.30 pm (6.30 pm daylight saving time).

We're continually reviewing our property portfolio.

To ensure our properties provide the best value, we maintain land we need for our operations and sell land that's no longer required.

Why we sell land

We may no longer need land and properties because of:

  • improvements in technology
  • the changing landscape
  • the way Sydney, the Blue Mountains and the Illawarra is growing.
