Connection requirements in pressure sewerage system areas

In pressure sewerage system (PSS) areas, property owners are responsible for providing and installing on-property PSS equipment.

In areas where the pressure sewerage system was delivered under the Priority Sewerage Program, the owners of properties created by subdivision after scheme approval are required to provide and install on-property PSS equipment.

If a property existed at the time of scheme approval under the Priority Sewerage Program, the property owner should contact our Community Relations team on 1800 006 326 to find out more about eligibility requirements for connection.

Supply and installation of PSS equipment generally costs between $10 000 and $20 000. You can contact a water services coordinator for more information.

Please note that all eligible property owners connecting to Sydney Water’s pressure sewerage system areas, where Sydney Water agrees to own and maintain the on-property equipment, must sign and return Pressure Sewerage System form (PDF - 80KB) .

To know more, contact the Community Relations team on 1800 006 326.
