Under the Metropolitan Water Plan, Sydney Water is helping to secure our water for life. This includes implementing large scale water recycling schemes, helping customers use water efficiently, reducing leaks and planning for desalination as an option in severe and prolonged drought conditions.

In addition, regular quarterly water storage and consumption levels are reported in Sydney Water's Quarterly Water Quality Report.

Dam levels

For the dam levels please visit the Sydney Catchment Authority (SCA) website at www.sca.nsw.gov.au.

Sydney Water buys water from the SCA, filters it at one of our 9 water filtration plants and delivers it to customers via approximately 21,000 km of water mains. The SCA works collaboratively with Sydney Water to assure that the best possible quality water is supplied to our customers.
