The Trade Waste Program ensures that Sydney Water can dispose of, or reuse, wastewater in a way that protects the environment and complies with regulatory requirements.
The Trade Waste Policy is a key component of the Program and outlines the principle strategies for control of non-domestic sources of wastewater. The Policy also introduces the conditions under which Sydney Water will agree to accept trade wastewater discharges. Detailed conditions are set out in Industrial Agreements and Commercial Permits signed by Sydney Water and its customers.
