Work on the Glenfield Liverpool Effluent Diversion Scheme (GLEDS) is now complete.
The scheme enables Sydney Water to transfer treated wastewater from Glenfield and Liverpool Water Recycling Plants along the Liverpool to Ashfield Pipeline for reuse by industrial customers.
This work will also reduce wastewater flows and as a result, improve Sydney Water's ability to maintain and operate major wastewater mains in the network.
All work on the project took place on three sites: the Glenfield Water Recycling Plant, Liverpool Water Recycling and the Potts Hill Reservoir site.
