The Wastewater System Rehabilitation Program improves the performance of the wastewater system, reduces wastewater overflows and helps protect the local environment and public health.
The Program repairs and rehabilitates wastewater pipes. This involves using closed circuit television (CCTV) to find damage and blockages, lining the pipes, digging and repairing sections of broken pipe and repairing maintenance holes.
Over the past three years the Program has spent $80 million rehabilitating over 240 km of pipes.
