Hoxton Park Water Recycling Scheme

This project is now under construction in south western Sydney. The suburbs included in this scheme are Edmondson Park, Middleton Grange, Ingleburn Gardens, Yarrunga Industrial Area and Panorama Estate. [read more]

Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme

The Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme is a private sector project that began operating in late October 2011. The scheme will initially supply over three billion litres of recycled water each year to five major industrial customers and a racecourse in the Rosehill and Smithfield areas.

AquaNet Sydney (a division of Jemena) built, owns and operates the $100 million Rosehill Recycled Water Scheme. AquaNet Sydney works in partnership with Veolia Water and is supported by Sydney Water. [read more]

Rouse Hill Water Recycling Scheme

This project will double the capacity of the Rouse Hill Recycled Water Plant to 27 million litres per day. The plant currently serves more than 18,000 homes in Acacia Gardens, Beaumont Hills, Castle Hill, Glenwood, Kellyville, Kellyville Ridge, Quakers Hill, Parklea, Stanhope Gardens, The Ponds and Rouse Hill. It will have the capacity to provide recycled water to about 36,000 properties in the area. [read more]

St Marys Water Recycling Plant

Sydney Water has finished commissioning a new water recycling plant at St Marys. Highly treated recycled water will now be used to help maintain the flow of the Hawkesbury-Nepean River. It will reduce the volume of nutrients in the river and mean more water will be available in Warragamba Dam for drinking. [read more]

West Camden Water Recycling Plant

Since 2005, Sydney Water has been implementing several upgrades at the West Camden Water Recycling Plant, to improve the removal capacity at the plant and meet the future needs and population growth in the Camden area. These upgrades have helped to improve the water quality in the Hawkesbury-Nepean River, and produce high quality recycled water for agriculture and irrigation purposes.

Currently, Sydney Water is planning to implement a Biosolids Upgrade and Amplification Project at the plant, which will increase the plant’s capacity to service the population growth in the Camden area [read more]
