Upper Blue Mountains Sewerage Scheme

Connections to the new sewer have been available to eligible properties in Mount Victoria, Blackheath and Medlow Bath since July 2008.

Blue Mountains City Council requires properties currently with pump-out systems to connect to the sewer within six months of the sewer becoming available. Properties with on-site systems must connect within three months of the sewer becoming available.

In 2010, Council have issued formal Notices and Orders under the Local Government Act, which require properties to connect. Property owners who have not yet connected to the sewerage system are urged to connect as soon as possible.
