Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock Sewerage Scheme

Project contact
To know more, call the free community information line on 1800 255 788 or email Sydney Water.

Sydney Water started constructing the Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock Sewerage Scheme in early 2009. The scheme will provide improved wastewater services to about 340 properties1 in the two towns.

Pressure sewerage system equipment is supplied to and installed on eligible1 properties by Sydney Water if property owners commit to connecting within 12 months of connections becoming available.

Eligible properties1 have had pressure sewerage system equipment supplied and installed by Sydney Water. Property owners can now contact their licensed plumber/drainer to arrange their connection.

Remaining construction work will occur between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday and between 8 am and 1 pm on Saturdays. No work is planned for Sundays or public holidays.

Blue Mountains City Council is working with Sydney Water to encourage property owners to connect to the new system as soon as possible.

A connection guide (PDF - 547KB) has been prepared to help property owners with the connection process.

Sydney Water would like to thank the community for its continued patience and support.

1 Please note that properties created as a result of a subdivision after scheme approval are not eligible for a subsidised connection. Other eligibility criteria may also apply. Learn more about connection requirements.
