Sydney Water started constructing the Hawkesbury Heights and Yellow Rock Sewerage Scheme in early 2009. The scheme will provide improved sewerage services to about 340 properties in the two towns.
Eligible properties will have pressure sewerage system equipment supplied and installed for free if they commit to connecting within twelve months of connections becoming available.
The project team is now progressively installing pressure sewerage equipment on eligible properties in Hawkesbury Heights. Once the equipment has been installed, property owners should contact their licensed plumber/drainer to arrange their connection.
Sewer connections are expected to be progressively available to Yellow Rock later in 2010.
Construction work will occur between 7 am and 6 pm, Monday to Friday and between 8 am and 1 pm on Saturdays. No work is planned for Sundays or public holidays.
Blue Mountains City Council is working with Sydney Water to encourage property owners to connect to the new system as soon as possible.
A connection guide (PDF - 5786KB) has been prepared to help property owners with the connection process.
Sydney Water would like to thank the community for its continued patience and support.
