Since 1994 people have been flocking to the increasingly popular Katoomba Winter Magic Festival. This festival is the Blue Mountain's largest and most popular community event attracting over 30,000 people. The festival's nine stages, 50 performances, and market stalls create and an exciting atmosphere that culminates with a parade along the main street.

Sydney Water is a major sponsor of the event and its annual ArtStreet exhibition.
