Sydney Water's Customer Council makes an invaluable contribution to the understanding of what our customers need and expect. At Sydney Water, we are committed to listening to our customers' needs and building relationships with the community to improve our services.
Sydney Water currently has a Customer Council, a Business Customer Forum and the provision to establish short term Advisory Groups. The Customer Council has been established pursuant to section 4.5 under Sydney Water's Operating Licence 2010-15 under Section 15 of the Sydney Water Act 1994.
The roles and responsibilities of the Customer Council and the Business Customer Forum are set out in charters, which have been jointly drafted by Sydney Water and members.
Members include key representatives from peak organisations for example: The Council of Social Service of NSW, the Ethnic Communities' Council of NSW, the Property Council of Australia, BlueScope Steel, as well as local government.
Members include key representatives from peak organisations such as Accord Australasia Ltd, Australian Environment Business Network, Australian Industry Group, Australian Institute of Metal Finishing & Master Electoplaters Assoc, Australian Pulp & Paper Industry & Trades Assoc, Australian Sustainable Business Network, McDonaolds Australia Ltd, NSW Business Chamber, NSW Health, Photo Marketing Assoc. International, Plastics & Chemical Industries Assoc., Restaurant & Catering NSW, Shopping Centre Council of Australia, University of Western Sydney, Waste Contractors & Recyclers Assoc. of NSW.
