Industry Experience Program

Sydney Water provides opportunities for individuals seeking on-the-job practical experience in a working environment to supplement tertiary studies. The objectives of the program are to:

• build a pool of potential future applicants for employment opportunities such including Sydney Water’s Graduate Program
• enable students to fulfil university requirements and gain professional experience related to their studies
• placements can range from three to twelve months.

What we are looking for

Sydney Water is looking for undergraduate students who have a solid academic record and demonstrate initiative, strong teamwork skills and communications skills.

Students from the following disciplines can apply:

• engineering (mechanical, electrical, mechatronic, civil, environmental, computer or chemical)
• business, commerce, or economics
• marketing or communications
• information technology
• environmental management
• finance and accounting
• human resources
• water conservation
