Chiara, Business Administration Trainee

Since starting my traineeship at Sydney Water, I have had a big change in duties. As I become competent in each task, I am given more responsibilities. Working within a large organisation has given me more chances to learn new skills in a variety of areas.

While working on the job and learning new skills I am also gaining qualifications that will help me in the future. I have found my work colleagues to be very friendly and supportive and are willing to help. The team at Sydney Water have helped me create a work arrangement with flexibility that supports my work life balance.

Mason, Electrical Engineer Apprentice

As an apprentice I rotate every six months to a different area in my field where I am immersed in a different environment and exposed to different people and equipment.

Coming from an electrical engineering background in the Navy, I have found the diversity within Sydney Water has challenged and developed my skills.

I am gaining new experiences and skills everyday and I am also able to utilise my previous knowledge. As for the work life balance, it's so good that I wouldn't change a thing.
