You need to submit your building plans through a Quick Check agent to check there will be no impact on our pipes.
If your building will be close to or over our pipes/structures you will be advised to engage the service of a Water Servicing Coordinator.

Wastewater Service Diagram
A diagram showing the property and the location of the house-service line, the building and the wastewater.
Service Location Print
A diagram showing the location of Sydney Water's water, wastewater and drainage systems. This also shows the existing connection points to wastewater systems.
Approvals
Building Plan - basic
Approval of basic building/development plans certifying that the proposed construction does not adversely impact on Sydney Water's assets.
Building Plan - non basic
Referral of customers with more complex building/development plans to a Water Servicing Coordinator.
Watermain Connection - standard (20mm-25mm)
Approval for a Licensed Plumber to carry out a standard connection to a watermain by drilling into the main and installing Sydney Water approved main tap.
Applications
Watermain Connection Approval - large (>25mm)
Lodgement of an application for Sydney Water to approve a large connection to a watermain and the method of that connection. Sydney Water will determine the cost of connection.
Watermain Connection - large (>25mm)
Lodgement of an application for Sydney Water to make a large connection to a watermain once approval has been obtained (see above).
Wastewater Junction Connection
Lodgement of an application to insert an additional junction in the wastewater.

Lodgement of an application to extend an existing junction to provide a suitable point of connection for a property

Pump to Wastewater
Lodgement of an application for Sydney Water to approve pumping of sewage to the wastewater or property house service line.
Water Pump Installation
Lodgement of an application for installation of a water pump by a Licensed Plumber.
Service Protection
Lodgement of an application to inspect a building site to peg-out/ identify the location of Sydney Water's wastewater/stormwater to avoid damage during construction. This is required for approval to build adjacent to or over a wastewater/stormwater.
